Caspar Georg Carl Reinwardt (1773- 6 March 1854, aged 80) was a Prussian-born Dutch
botanist.
Reinwardt was the founder and first director of agriculture of the botanic garden
at Bogor
(Buitenzorg) in Java. He was Professor of natural philosophy at the University of Leiden from 1823 to 1845.
