The current boundaries centre on Chesterfield itself, with the areas around Staveley, and Barrow Hill, falling within the neighbouring North East Derbyshire seat. Under the boundary changes necessary to accommodate the new Mid Derbyshire
constituency, Chesterfield is only moderately effected, losing New Whittington to North East Derbyshire but otherwise keeping its shape.
