Choti Bahu - Sinduur Bin Suhagan is an Indian
television drama-series that aired on Zee TV
channel and focuses on the youngest daughter-in-law, a great devotee of the Hindu god Krishna
(often referred in the serial as "Kahna"). The serial also focuses on the vices of the Hindu caste system while glorifying the spirituality of the bonds of marriage. The series was scheduled to premiere on November 10, 2008, but was delayed until December 8, 2008 due to the "Indian Television Strike" that began on November 9, 2008.The show ended on 17th September 2010 and later returned with a new season of Choti Bahu starting February 15th, 2011 with a completely different storyline.

Plot
Set in Vrindavan, Choti Bahu focuses on the trials and tribulations and sacrifices of Radhika, the youngest daughter-in-law of the Purohit family and the adopted daughter of Vrindavan's Shastri. she was married to dev rajpurohit but later vishakha was send with dev as her wife. vishaka wants her career in film industry, so she leaves dev. dev again marries to radhika as his second wife.later the truth is opend by radhika that she is devs first wife, when vishaka returns and laid a condition in front of dev to spend one night with her.vishaka's mother devki opened this truth in front of purohit family.Characters
- Radhika Purohit - Radhika is adopted daughter Pandit Brij Mohan and Deviki Shastri and is the youngest daughter-in-law.she is the biggest kanha bhakt of vrindavan.
- Dev Raj Purohit - Dev is Radhika's husband and the heir apparent of the Purohit khandan.
- Shantanu Purohit - Shantanu is the elder brother of Dev and the son of Mr. Purohit and Vaishali though only Radhika and Vaishali knows this. He was disowned by his mother because he was cursed by a sage that he will be the destroyer of the clan when he was still unborn and now is dead when being chased by a police.
- Pandit Brij Mohan Shastri - Pandit Brij Mohan is the adoptive father of Radhika and biological father of Vishaka, he disowns Vishaka after suffering multiple humiliations brought on by her fierce independence.He forgives Vishaka at the end of the show.
- Devki Shastri - Devki is the wife of Shastriji and the mother of Radhika and Vishaka.
- Vishaka Shastri - Vishaka is the biological daughter of the Shastris. Shastriji disowns her after she relocates to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting.she pretents to be "choti bahu" of purohit family.
- Amma - Amma is the mother of Shastriji. She adores Vishaka but treats Radhika as a bad omen because her caste whereabouts are unknown. She is a main antagonist.
- Mr. Purohit - Mr. Purohit is a Raj Purohit. He suffers a fatal heart attack, after passing on the mantle to his youngest son, Dev.
- Vaishali Purohit - Vaishali is Vivek, Shantanu and Dev's mother.
- Dadi - Dadi is the matriarch of the Purohit khandan. She shares a close friendship with her grandson, Dev and adores his wife, Radhika.
- Vivek Purohit - Vivek is the eldest son of the Purohit khandan, but he is not anointed Raj Purohit because he is handicapped and cannot provide an heir. He is aware of his wife Mrinalini's dalliances with Arjun but turns a blind eye. Married to Imarti at the end of the show
- Mrinalini Purohit - Mrinalini is the badi bahu of the Purohit khandan. She backs Susheel and Arjun in their attempts to seize the benefits of the Raj Purohit title, as retaliation for being slighted by the Purohits. She fears she will have to take orders from a "servant", after Radhika provides the Purohits with an heir, but she is especially threatened by Radhika not because of her humble beginnings but because Radhika strengthens Dev’s position with her love and support and is not afraid to challenge Mrinalini's subversive attempts.
- Susheel Purohit - Susheel is Dev, Shantanu and Vivek's uncle, and he wants his son Arjun to replace Dev as Raj Purohit.
- Arjun Purohit - Arjun is Susheel's son and second in line for the Raj Purohit title. He shares an intimate relationship with Vivek's wife, Mrinalini.
- Birju - Birju is Dev's best friend, and he works for the Purohit khandan. He loves his bhauji, Radhika as a sister.
- Keshav Chaubey - Keshav was to wed Radhika before he learned that she loved Dev.
- Purab - Purab is a casting agent who befriends Vishaka and supports her whenever she asks for his help. He is frequently berated by the women on the show.
- Nandu - Nandu is a boy from Vrindavan who shares an affectionate relationship with Radhika and bears witness to her first marriage to Dev.
- Vikram - Vikram was Vishaka's boyfriend but was sent to jail by her sister Radhika. Vishakha was pregnant with his child. Later it was found out that his father was the owner of the Purohit Trust and it was passed down to him when he became older. Vikram sold young children for a huge living and was discovered by the Purohit Family and was fired.
- Kanika- pretends to be Dev's wife when he lost his memory in an accident. She made him believed that his name is Abhay Singh Thakur and the father of her son Deepu.
- Mataramji/ katyayani- Kanika's mother, Abhay/Dev is her breadwinner in bringing riches to her.She considered him to be her son.
- Rajjan- (Kanika's bother) he hates Abhay/Dev because his mother trust Abhay more than her own son.
- Imarti- (twin sister of Radhika. she marries vivek at the end of the show
