. Over his Paralympic career, he has won six gold, two silver, and two bronze medals, all in cycling. Scott received the Australian Paralympic Committee's Senior Male Athlete award in 2002, Sporting Wheelie of the Year 2002 and 2005. He also won the Australian Male Disabled Cyclist of the Year awards for four consecutive years between 2002 and 2005, and was the 2005 Australian Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability. Scott is also the recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia.
