In the individual competition, Netter placed 6th overall. In the team competition, he won his 2nd Olympic medal when the French team advanced to the finals and then defeated the United States and Hungary to capture the silver (they lost to Italy in the gold medal match).

Netter completed his Olympic career at the 1960 Rome Games, when he fenced exclusively in the team foil competition. France advanced to the final round, but lost to Germany on a fence-off after the two teams tied 8–8 in the initial match; France finished in 5th place.
