in 1997 as an entertainment reporter and host. Shortly thereafter, she joined the VTV Breakfast team as a news anchor. In 2001 she was named co-host of CTV News at 5 with Ravi Baichwal
. She eventually became the solo anchor of the newscast after Baichwal left to become an anchor for CTV News Channel. She has also hosted Good Morning Canada
when it was broadcasting from Vancouver.
Coleen graduated from the University of Victoria
with a BA in English Literature and History. Coleen then began her career in television at CHEK
where she was an international award-winning promotion producer and the host of Entertainment Update. She has also been in local television and films, usually playing a reporter.
