Williams signed to play with the Townsville Crocodiles
in Australial's NBL for the 2007-08 NBL season
making his debut for the Crocs against the New Zealand Breakers
in Auckland
with a 26 point, 6 assist performance. Later in the season he collected a season high 41 points against the Brisbane Bullets
in November 2007 with a 20-point final term. He became the first Townsville player to score 20 points in a period since Derek Rucker had done so 10 years earlier.
Corey Williams quickly established himself as one of the best point guards in the NBL being selected to the All NBL First team
in 2010, the All NBL Second team in his debut season of 2008, 2009 and in 2011 and in just his third season in the National Basketball League, Williams was voted the 2010 NBL Most Valuable Player
.
Following the 2009-10 season, Williams signed to play with another NBL club in four time championship winners the Melbourne Tigers
for the 2010-11 NBL season where his MVP form didn't drop despite the Tigers failing to make the playoffs with a 10-18 record. At the end of the season Williams led the league in assists with 6.1 per game while also placing 5th in the league scoring 17.3 points per game. He also led the NBL with 5.7 turnovers
per game. Williams standout form for the disappointing Tigers saw him selected to his third All NBL second team for 2011.
In four NBL seasons Corey Williams has played 114 games (91 for Townsville and 23 for Melbourne) and is averaging 19.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
