Features

The game contains 74 songs, 24 initially available and 50 that need to be unlocked, either through normal play or purchasing the songs with Dance Points accumulated through Dance Master Mode. The majority of the songs are Konami originals, most of which are composed by Naoki Maeda. This mix introduces several licensed tracks to DDR as well as reusing veteran songs, such as Smile.dk

Seven songs from the group, including the aforementioned, had been released on Japanese versions of DDR previously. The particular song chosen is relatively tame. Largely due to the inclusion of E-Rotic and the other sexually explicit themes throughout the game, DDR EXTREME 2 is rated Everyone 10+ by the Entertainment Software Rating Board

In the past there has always been slight differences between regions. Konami teased that the online play feature would be "global" on the months leading up to Extreme 2's release.
