Davorin "Davo" Karničar (born October 26, 1962 in Zgornje Jezersko

) is a Slovenian climber
and an extreme skier
.
As an active Alpine skier, he was a member of the National Alpine Ski Team between 1975 and 1982. An Alpine climber since 1980, he has so far recorded over 1.400 Alpine climbs and ski descents. He was the first person that made a complete descent from the Seven Summits
. Davo was also the first man that skied down from the summit of Mount Everest
on October 7, 2000.
