Political career

Morrell was first elected to office in November 2002 and was subsequently re-elected in 2004, 2006 and 2008. She was defeated by Hans Zeiger

During her service in the Washington State House of Representatives, Morrell was Vice Chair of the House Health Care Committee and Co-Chair of the Joint Committee on Veterans' and Military Affairs. She also served on the Select Committee on Environmental Health and the Appropriations and Rules Committees.
