Derek Daly is a former racing driver from the Republic of Ireland

Daly, covering the 1990 San Marino Grand Prix for ESPN said, on lap two of the races coverage, referring to the section of track that would later claim Senna's life: "And that white to the left there is a new concrete strip, I'm not sure of the overall safety of that"
