In March 1998, UPN resumed talks with Disney and in April 1998, UPN made a deal with Disney to air Disney programming on weekday and Sunday mornings. The new lineup, a sister block to Disney's One Saturday Morning on ABC
, would be called Disney's One Too. Originally announced as "Whomptastic," (though changed due to it being a word used in Recess as a substitute for "sucks") the block debuted on September 5, 1999.
At this point affiliates were given the option of airing the weekday block in the morning (7-9am) or in the afternoon (3-5pm).
The name Disney's One Too was in use during the block until September 1, 2002 where it was rebranded Disney's Animation Weekdays (whereas Disney's One Saturday Morning became ABC Kids).
Disney's One Too was also seen on Disney's Canadian affiliate, Family Channel.
Many shows formerly featured on Disney's One Too continued in reruns on Toon Disney
and The Disney Channel. The block's last airdate was September 5, 2003, leaving UPN as the only network without children's programming.
