Encyclopedia
The Division of Global Affairs (DGA) is a graduate studies and research institution at the Graduate School of Rutgers University-Newark. The DGA is an affiliate member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA).

The DGA was established in 1995 under its former name, the Center for Global Change and Governance, by professors Yale Ferguson and Richard Langhorne. Its current director is Dr. Jean-Marc Coicaud. DGA’s research center, the Center for Global Change and Governance, produces the peer-reviewed publication, the Journal for Global Change and Governance.

The DGA community

The DGA has emerged as a vital participant in the educational and professional life of the New York metropolitan area, northern New Jersey, and the city of Newark. The DGA's outreach to the region's many constituencies and communities—as well as its contribution to the renaissance of Newark—builds on its commitment to education and service.

The DGA is just 20 minutes from midtown Manhattan and 2.5 hours from Washington D.C. by train.
