The late Mahadevi Tai was an Indian freedom activist. She was born in 1906, and was the cousin sister of former Chief Minister late Ramakrishna Hegde. A child widow, she was the daughter of Doddamane Krishnaiah Subbaiah Hegde of Siddapur
