EV Cup is a multiple electric vehicle

At the International Autosport show in January 2011, EV Cup announced their year’s race calendar as being staged in the UK, Portugal, Spain, and the United States, with a city street race also expected to take place in the near future. During the show, EV Cup further announced a newly-formed partnership with CAA Sports, a division of Creative Artists Agency lead by Peter Kenyon

is a supporter of the EV Cup as well as Ben Collins (racing driver), who appeared in the popular television series Top Gear as The Stig
. Ben Collins will also attend as a regular EV Cup driver.
electric vehicles with race meetings initially planned to feature three different classifications of cars – CityEV, SportsEV and PrototypeEV. Each class is defined by the performance of the vehicle covering three core measuring criteria; acceleration, top speed and range.
CityEV - This class is limited to city-focused production vehicles that can be seen in use in many cities around the world. The CityEV class will feature TH!NK City vehicles (manufactured by Think Global) that have been prepared to a race specification. In addition to the modified and lightened interior and exterior changes, the vehicle will be running on the latest THINK prepared motor and battery technologies.
SportsEV - This class is reserved for sports production vehicles and offers the widest range of conceptual vehicles to date. The current SportsEV line-up includes the Lightning Car Company
’s technically advanced Lightning GT
that is powered by four in-wheel motors and utilising the latest NanoSafe batteries. Drawing on their rich racing pedigree, Ginetta and Westfield Sportscars present their latest electric vehicle development in the form of the Ginetta G50EV and Westfield iRACER.
PrototypeEV - The PrototypeEV class is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the latest non-production electric vehicles. With little design limitations and a wide class measurement criteria that has no performance limits, the PrototypeEV class provides a platform for showcasing the most advanced electric vehicle
technologies. EV Cup's appointed Race Director, Grahame Butterworth, who was instrumental in bringing the Fun Cup
to the UK, said: "The prototype category will allow constructors free in terms of the design direction that they take".

Race Format
Each race meeting will feature all three classifications of vehicles, CityEV, SportsEV and PrototypeEV. With pre-race testing and qualification complete, the racing starts with the CityEV class vehicles which consist of a single-make race over ~15 competitive laps. A similar format will then feature the SportsEV class vehicles, before several prototypePrototype
