on April 3, 1973. Originally known as North and South Halls, or North and South dormitories, Elliott and Stoddard are the two oldest structures on the Miami University campus. Built in 1828 (Elliott) and 1835 (Stoddard), they were designed in the Federal style and modeled after Connecticut Hall
