in 2007 for her song "Lukochuri Lukovhuri Golpo" in Bengali Film "AHA". She also received Channel i
Performance Award in 2008.
Some of her best selling albums are: `Ek Mutho Gaan 1’, ‘Ek Mutho Gaan 2’ ‘Mone Ki Porena’, ‘Amar Bela Je Jay’ Dupurer Ekla Pakhi etc. Her latest solo album (released on 15 January 2011), titled “Akash O Shamudra Aupar” features 10 songs written & tuned by Dr. Salim Al Deen
. Fahmida Nabi, as a tribute to the late theatre icon (Salim Al Deen), took up the task of singing his songs. Her first duet album entitled "Ek Mutho Gaan-1" (released in 2006) was recorded with Bappa Mazumder
. Following the success of the first duet album, Fahmida Nabi and Bappa Majumder's latest studio album "Ek Mutho Gaan-2" was released on the Valentine's Day in 2010. This was the second duet album by the artists and was an instant hit.
Social Involvements:
Fahmida volunteers for many social charity events of Bangladesh. She is dedicated to raising awareness through music against acid violence, drug abuse
, and women affected by violence to provide them support, hope and courage in order to ensure Universal Human Rights. She is actively involved with Bangladesh National HIV/AIDS awareness campaign to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS among young people and vulnerable populations for HIV
(e.g. injecting drug users, sex workers). Through her thoughts, creativity and positive thinkings, she wants to discover a new Bangladesh, that makes a cultural bridge between contemporary rural and urban society - with full of life, country of peace and harmony.
