Background
Georgia grew up in a Jewish home as the daughter of parents, Michael and Zsuzsi. Her Hungarian-born mother, Zsuzsi, was hidden in a cellar during the Second World War after her mother Litzy was murdered by Hungarian Nazi soldiers. Her father had been taken to Russia by the Nazi's as a slave labourer. Georgia's grandmother, Litzy, was murdered on the banks of the Danube, by being stripped, shot and pushed into a freezing lake, along with many other women. Her grandfather survived the Holocaust and was reunited with his young daughter after the liberation.Zsuzsi escaped the country after the 1956 revolution at the age of 16.
