The Golden Eagle is currently a Tynemill Free House (Tynemill has twice won UK Pub Chain of the Year), run by landlady Tracy Harris. The pub also sports a local football team, having last season won the Ron Eaglen county cup. The Golden Eagle is also host to many visiting musicians and bands, and hosts a popular fortnightly open mic night, walking group, Lincoln Classic Motorcycle Club, Lincoln Miniature Warfare Society and annual summer charity event in aid of the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance

Golden Eagle Football Club

The Golden Eagle Football Club first team are last year's winners of the Lincolnshire Premier Division and winners of the prestigious Ron Eaglen Cup, this following the very successful season the previous year after finishing second in the Premiership and winning the Ron Eaglen Cup.

Live music

The pub is also host to many visiting musicians and bands, and hosts a popular fortnightly open mic night. Musicians in resident are Teeshirt/Suntan, who play in the bar of the pub on a monthly basis. Latterly, The Shantymen have also gained a large following and also play on a regular basis.
