From 1991-2005, the team was known as the Golden Rockets. For the 2005-06 season, the team was known as the Golden Extreme. They were then known as the Golden Jets for the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. As The Jets, they were owned by the WHA CorpWorld Hockey Association (proposed)
