Climate and Rainfall

The climate of Gollapudi zone is tropical in nature with hot summers and moderate winters. The climate is hot and dry throughout the year. Summers are quite hot with very minor difference between the maximum and minimum temperatures. The climatic cycle can thus be divided into four seasons as:
  • Cool months January and February
  • Hot months March to July
  • Monsoon (S.W) June to September and
  • Monsoon (N.E) October to December


Gollapudi and the surrounding areas experience high temperature. The mean daily maximum temperature is 37 °C, while minimum is 27.7 °C in this region. The temperature begins to rise in mid February and May is the hottest month, when temperature reaches even up to 45°C. December and January are usually the months with the lowest.

This is one of the few villages in Krishna District where all the roads are
perfectly laid with no dead ends.
The village is located by the river side of river Krishna.

And this is the main political center in Vijayawada.

And almost all famous educational institutes established their branches in Gollapudi.

NH-9 passes through the village, which connects Vijayawada and Hyderabad.

And bi-pass which connects NH-5 and NH-9 starting from Gollapudi.
