History

The Lake at Heritage Pointe was developed as a partnership between Intergulf-Cidex and Upper Lakes Group. The first showhomes opened up in June 2001 with Beattie Homes, Cidex Signature Homes, Greenboro Homes, Shane Homes, and Trico Homes all opening showhomes backing onto the lake. A year later, the community picked up the Alberta SAM award for "Best New Community." The neighbourhood went on to win "Best Community" in 2005 and 2006. In 2003, a second phase of showhomes opened, followed by a third phase of showhomes on the Upper Lake in February 2004 with builders Beattie Homes, Shane Homes, and Trico Homes leaving and a new builder Albi Homes coming in. In the summer of 2005, a fourth and final phase of showhomes opened and have since closed.
