Hingalol or Hingalool is a town in the northern Sanaag
region of Somalia
. It is the center of the Hingalol District
.
Local control is disputed between the autonomous Puntland
region in northeastern Somalia, and Somaliland

The appellation Hingalol is derived from the terms Hin (which means "densely" in the Somali language
) and Galol (which is the local name for acacia
