After winning four back-to-back battles of the bands, the band entered the studio for the first time in 2009. They released two EPs titled Imagine Dragons EP and Hell and Silence EP (mixed in part by Mark Needham) in 2010, both recorded at Battle Born Studios
. Shortly, they were invited to fill in for Train
at the 13th annual Bite of Las Vegas food and music festival, dubbed "Most Requested Band of 2010" on LOCAL 107.9FM, chosen as a Vegas Music Summit Headliner, voted "Best Local Indie Band 2010" by Las Vegas Weekly
, and awarded "Best CD of 2011" by Vegas Seven Magazine.
Imagine Dragons signed to major label Interscope Records
in November 2011. They are working closely with GRAMMY winning producer Alex Da Kid

In the autumn of 2010 the band entered Studio X inside the Palms Casino to record their independently released third EP entitled It's Time (mixed by Mark Needham).
Their music has been picked up by taste-making radio stations and the band have performed at various Las Vegas casinos including Caesar's Palace, Monte Carlo, Texas Station, Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station, Mandalay Bay, OShea's, South Point, Hard Rock, etc.
Imagine Dragons played a handful of festivals in 2010 including SXSW Music Festival (BMI
Showcase), Neon Reverb Festival, Fork Festival (headliner), and New Noise Music Festival. In 2011, they also played at Bergenfest
in Norway, Sunset Strip Music Festival, and Bite of Las Vegas Festival 2011. They toured in fall 2010 with Nico Vega
