Internacia Seminario was the most important Esperanto

 youth meeting organized by the German Esperanto Youth (GEJ) at the end of every year in a different German city, December 27 to January 3. It was organised 52 times, since 1957 to 2008.

 (JES; "Youth Esperanto-Week" or "Europan Youth Week"), will be taking place instead of IS. The new meeting will be jointly organised by GEJ and the Polish Esperanto Youth (PEJ). Since 2002 the latter had been the organiser of Ago-Semajno (AS), a similar yearly meeting, which also ceased to exist with the birth of JES.

Program of the meeting

Aside from lectures and group discussions on the framework theme, general lectures, excursions, concerts and other entertaining activities were generally offered (for example the teahouse in the gufujo). The culmination of IS always was the Silvestra Balo and dance contest.

"Internacia Seminario" was the official name, but sometimes "Internacia Semajno" ("International Week") was also used, due to the German
