In 1999 Moldova has announced its intention to end its participation in the Intergovernmental Agreement on Civil Aviation and Use of Airspace, which would cause it to exit the IAC. Moldova wanted to reduce its participation in CIS governmental structures. Moldova has not yet left the IAC.
