Icici is a small place located in the north-east part of Istria

, on the north part of the Adriatic Sea

The town has a very large marina for big yachts, also in Icici there is situated a port for small boats. The town has about 800 residents who are mostly employed in the tourism industry. Most tourists came in Icici especially at summer. Icici is also well known because its car camping.
It is well known tourist resort on the Opatija Riviera, now nearly grown together with Opatija
. Because of the rich vegetation and favorable climate here tourist season lasts all year. The place is especially famous for extraordinary equipped marina. With a variety of accommodation (hotels, camping, apartaments), sports and recreational facilities (tennis courts, water sports, sailing) in a specially developed nautical tourism. Nearby Opatija offers pleasant cultural and entertainment programs. ACI Marina has 300 berths and 35 dry berths.
On the road from Icici to the Učka
mountain you will find the small medieval town of Veprinac, whose city statute dates as far back as the year 1500. Icici offers an amazing view, and boat trips on the two largest Croatians islands, Krk
and Cres
, that form the entrance to Kvarner Bay.
Icici's main tourist attraction remains its large beach, one of the most beautiful in the region and offering a variety of entertainment. Situated by the village center, it is part sandy beach and part concrete area. The beach is well managed and each year investments are made to further improve it, which is why it is regularly awarded the prestigious "blue flag". The entrance to the beach is free and open for all. The beach is ideal for enjoying a variety of sports – beach volleyball, soccer, badminton on the sand, a water polo court in the sea. Children particularly love the beach's large water slide. There are various restaurants to be found on the beach itself, a small supermarket that will satisfy everyone's needs, and free wireless internet access for all (WLAN).
The beach is enclosed by the ACI Marina on one side, and merges with the little harbour of Icici on the other side, which is as old as the village itself and has developed alongside it. This harbour is meant for smaller boats only and reminds us that Icici is a coastal village.
It is important to emphasize that the famous coastal walk, the "Lungomare", passes through Icici. Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary
ordered its construction in 1885, and it has been named after him. This beautiful coastal walk extends over 12 km from Volosko to Lovran with Icici marking just about its middle. In the evening hours it is discreetly illuminated and ideal for romantic walks.
The village of Icici is linked to other towns by regional and urban bus lines.
