His 11-year run on the ground breaking show made him the third longest running New York City anchor to work on the same broadcast. In that time Muller established himself as one of the most versatile journalist/hosts in the industry, running the gamut from hard news anchoring to feature segment hosting to newsmaker interviewing to fast-paced and fun "tv personality".

His biggest impact on New York television came when he was chosen to anchor and host a brand-new entry in the local morning news race. The "WB11 Morning News" debuted in June of 2000. From the outset the show made people take notice. With its no-holds-barred, fast-paced and innovative mix of hard news and fun, Muller found himself wearing many different hats and ultimately accepting the Emmy for "Best Morning News Show". It would be the first of many Emmy awards for Muller and the show. The innovative format and legacy has been emulated by other morning news programs in New York, nationally and even at the network level. In addition to news anchoring, interviewing and hosting duties, Muller also served as the sports anchor for the broadcast as well as the anchor/reporter/producer of daily business news segments branded "It's Your Money".
