On August 27, 2010, Sonny shoots Johnny in self-defense, but Detective Ronnie Dimestico hides Johnny's gun to make it appear as though Sonny had tried to kill him. However, Jason and Dante find proof that Johnny was attacking Sonny. On September 14, 2010, Sonny and Johnny finally proctor a peace agreement.
Eventually, fed up with Robin and Lisa's constant squabbling over the syringe, Johnny calls them both to his apartment and arranges a scavenger hunt
for it. When Lisa's search nearly causes her to lose her job at General Hospital and delays her greatly, she turns to Johnny for help. Johnny, however, reveals that it wasn't really about the syringe, but to try to get her to finally get over her obsession with Patrick and move on with her life. When Patrick finds out about this, he insists to Johnny that Lisa is too far gone to be helped and just as deranged as Claudia.
Johnny has also struck up a friendship with Sonny's daughter Kristina Corinthos Davis
. Sonny thinks that Johnny is using her to get to him, which was Johnny's original intention. But he has grown to care for her as a friend and has dropped his plans to harm her. He has also begun pushing Ethan Lovett
to admit that he has feelings for her. He still taunts Sonny whenever he catches them together which has caused Sonny to pull a gun on him and almost kill him until Olivia intervenes.

Sonny's Trial
When Sonny is on trial for the murder of Johnny's sister Claudia, Sonny's wife. Johnny is brought to the stand by Federal Prosecutor Claire Walsh, in order to push Sonny's buttons. Claire Walsh uses Johnny in order to get a rise out of Sonny in court in order to show his abusive side. Johnny testifies to Sonny's continual verbal abuse towards Claudia, and the terrible events of the night of her death. He goes on to explain that he found bruises all over Claudia because of Sonny, and that Claudia was constantly in fear of him. Sonny then blows up calling Claudia terrible, despicable names and he and Johnny scream at each other. Unknown to everyone in the courtroom, Kristina Davis (Sonny's daughter) was sitting in the back of the courtroom listening to everything. After Sonny is found not guilty when Michael is brought forth by his brother Detective Dante Falconeri, Johnny begins his rampage on Sonny's organization; stealing his allies, his shipments and his money in order to provoke him and torture him for what he did to Claudia.Provoking Sonny
When Michael Corinthos is sentenced to five years in jail for the murder of Johnny's sister Claudia, Kristina Davis (Michael's sister) starts to harbor great resentment for the part her father Sonny played in his conviction. So, Kristina concocts a plan to get Johnny and her to pretend as though they are going out and are sexually intimate in order to torment her father. Johnny initially refuses to do so, but ultimately gives in when Kristina continues to push the issue, seeing it as an opportunity to get revenge on Sonny for what he did to Claudia. However, Johnny soon realizes that Kristina is taking things too far, and on July 2, she sneaks out during a family dinner at Sonny's, planning to spend the night with Johnny to drive the final nail in Sonny's coffin. Johnny has finally had enough and manages to convince Kristina to end the charade, telling her that he believes that she doesn't hate Sonny as much as she says she does and that she is making the same mistakes Claudia did to win his own father's affection. In May 2011 Johnny helps Michael Corinthos and his girlfriend Abby Haver find the hitwoman his father ordered to kill Abby's ex-boyfriend Brandon. On June 9, 2011 Johnny agrees to help Lisa (who is on the run for the attempted murder of Robin Drake) get out of the country to start her life over.
