2007-08 & 2008-09

Audy-Marchessault joined Quebec as a 16 year old for the 2007-08 season after being drafted by Quebec in the 12th round. He had 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points during the regular season, and added a goal in the playoffs. In 2008-09, he increased his totals to 18 goals and 35 assists for 53 regular season points, and added 2 goals and 4 assists in the playoffs.

2009-10

 for the week ending December 13, 2010. He finished the regular season with 30 goals and 41 assists for 71 points. In the playoffs, he scored 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 points in 9 games.

2010-11

As Quebec's assistant captain in his final junior hockey season in 2010-11, Audy-Marchessault finished 6th in the QMJHL in scoring during the regular season, with 40 goals and 55 assists for 95 points. His 40 goals placed 5th in the QMJHL and his 55 assists placed 9th. His 10 first goals and his 11 game winning goals led league. In the 2010-11 playoffs, he led the league in scoring with 11 goals and 22 assists for a total of 33 points in 18 games, even though Quebec was eliminated in the semi-finals and did not play in the final round. His 11 playoff goals were 3rd in the league and his 22 playoff assists led the league. He became the first player to lead the QMJHL in playoff scoring despite not playing in the final round.

Audy-Marchessault was named the QMJHL top star of the week for the week ending September 19, 2010. He was also named CHL player of the week for the week ending April 3, 2011 during the playoffs. At the end of the season, Audy-Marchessault was awarded the Bud Light Cup as Quebec's player of the year. He was named a QMJHL First Team All-Star.

Professional career

On June 23, 2011, he signed his first professional contract with the New York Rangers, on a recommendation by Dean Stork, coach of the ECHL
