, and a son of the late Atlanta Braves announcer Skip Caray
. His older half-brother, Chip Caray, is also a broadcaster for the Braves.
Caray is a 2004 graduate of Oglethorpe University
where he was on the track and field
team. Before then, he attended Guilford College
where he called their football games on the radio.
He called the games of the Rome Braves
in 2007 and 2008.
Currently, Josh broadcasts games for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs
of the Atlantic League. On November 19, 2011, Caray was behind the mic for one of the greatest upsets in college basketball history as he called Presbyterian College's 56-54 win over the #20 Cincinnati Bearcats for the Blue Hose.
When not serving as a play-by-play broadcaster, Caray also serves as a studio host and board operator for IMG College. He currently serves in this capacity for Tulane football and basketball after covering the UNLV basketball beat last season.
