History
On April 28, 1959, KLOE-TV signed on the air from "Broadcast Plaza" in Goodland, co-located with KLOE-AM 730. For many years, the station provided full coverage of local news from a tiny studio on the west edge of the community. The building was originally only large enough for the radio station, so owner Ross Beach bumped up the ceiling half-a-story to accommodate television lighting. The stations "Tri-State Report" was a local news staple for many years.Following its purchase by Cowles Publishing Company
