Beginning in September 2006, KJBO became the Wichita Falls' affiliate of MyNetworkTV
when UPN and The WB ceased operations and formed The CW. MyNetworkTV
, which is a sister network to Fox
, features a two-hour block of original programming six days a week (Monday-Saturday).
As a result of the network changes, Lawton/Wichita Falls' WB affiliate "KWB", which was carried only on cable systems in the area and was not available over-the-air, was expected to be an affiliate of The CW
. However, The CW affiliation ended up on a digital subcarrier channel of KAUZ-TV
instead. At that time, KAUZ-DT2 replaced "KWB" on the area's cable systems. It is unclear whether KAUZ-DT2 is an entirely new intellectual unit or is actually "KWB" which migrated to The CW Plus
and officially began to use the KAUZ-DT2 call sign.
