 affiliation, and instead became solely an America One affiliate. When the station switched to digital television, it opted to use its digital channel (22) for identification as opposed to its former analog channel (39).

KWBJ also serves Morgan City with a nightly newscast ("Newsday 22") during the week, covering local news, weather, and sports. Local weather with KWBJ Chief Meteorologist Chris MacDonald is also featured in other shorter segments during the evening on the station in addition to a full forecast during the news.

Beginning with the 2011 football season, KWBJ is a member of the Southland Conference
