Kaz Cooke is an Australian author and cartoonist. Her books include Real Gorgeous, Up the Duff (also published under different titles outside of Australia), Kidwrangling, Girl Stuff and Living with Crazy Buttocks, which won the 2002 Bookseller/Diagram Prize for Oddest Title of the Year
. Her works often cover issues of women's health, body image
and self-esteem in an informative yet humorous way. She is the creator of Hermoine the Modern Girl, a cartoon character who features in her books and cartoons. Hermoine appeared on the cover of The Cane Toad Times
