Senior Football Club Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association
club competition between the top Kildare Clubs. The winners of the Kildare Championship winners qualify to represent their county in the Leinster Club Championship
and in turn, go on to the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship
. The most successful club to date are Clane
, who have won on seventeen occasions with their last win in 1997. Clane won the first Kildare Senior Football championship in 1888 with a win over Naas
. The current senior football champions of Kildare are Moorefield
who defeated Sarsfields.
