Kjetil André Rekdal is a Norwegian
football coach
and a former footballer. He is currently managing Aalesund in Norwegian Tippeligaen
. His previous tenure was at Kaiserslautern
of the 2. Bundesliga
from 1 July 2007 until his contract was terminated on 9 February 2008.

Upon joining Aalesunds FK as coach, he also joined the tier 5 club Fiksdal/Rekdal as player and plays regularly at their home matches, he states that he wishes to contribute to the club with which he started his career

Rekdal resigned as coach at Vålerenga on 21 August 2006, following a string of poor results. He was appointed manager of his former club Lierse on 21 November 2006.
