season is the sixty-sixth season of top-tier football in Norway
. The competition, which is also named Tippeligaen
for sponsorship reasons, began on 14 March and is scheduled to end on 7 November. Rosenborg are the defending champions, having secured their twenty-first league championship in 2009.
