Kolej Islam Sultan Alam Shah or Sultan Alam Shah Islamic College (KISAS) is a boarding school in Klang
, Selangor
, Malaysia. KISAS is the most popular Islamic school in Malaysia due to its history and achievements.
. It was erected on a piece of land measuring approximately 14.3 acres located at Jalan Kota Raja, which is about one and a half miles from Klang
.
The College was initially a palace then benefacted by Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah Al-Haj, son of the late Sultan Alaeddin Sulaiman Shah. He is hoping that the college is to produce scholars' who fear Allah
, and thus illuminate the society with the spirit-the spirit of Islam
and to eliminate all forms of unbelief and ignorance that exists.
In 1386H/1966 AD, Highest Certificate of Kolej Islam Malaya have been moved to a new building in Petaling Jaya
(now Foundation Centre of International Islamic University Malaysia
) and then to Bangi
(became the Faculty of Islamic Studies Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
). However, course preparation is still performed in Klang.
In 1967 the College was taken by the Ministry of Education and make a full government-aided schools named Kolej Islam Klang. Finally in 1972, he was elected to the Boarding School complete with various facilities to this day. Then in 1989, Kolej Islam Klang was renamed Kolej Islam Sultan Alam Shah by Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj Hisamuddin son of the late Sultan Alam Shah, Sultan of Selangor
Darul Ehsan at that time. Until now, the building of the former sultan's palace still stands.

Supreme Islamic Colleges Courses transferred to Petaling Jaya
while its preparation course is maintained in Klang
and name of the college was changed officially to "Islamic College Klang. At the same time, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia

3. 1387H / 1967 AD
Foundation Course was taken over by the federal government and placed under the Ministry of Education. Kolej Islam Klang developed as a high school state aid.
4. 1389H / 1969 AD
Penilaian Menengah Rendah
(Lower Certificate of Education) courses are eliminated. Only candidates with the PMR and the distinction in Islamic subjects and Arabic passes are accepted into college. Form Sixes courses are introduced.
5. 1391H / 1971 AD
Form Four classes have been opened to form four students.
6. 1392H / 1972 AD
Kolej Islam Klang became one of the Sekolah Berasrama Penuh
(Boarding School) equipped with various facilities.
7. 1410H / 1989 AD
New name for the Kolej Islam Klang to the Kolej Islam Sultan Alam Shah.
