To mention a few great politicians we have Govinde gowda (former education minister), D.B Chandregowda (popularly known among people as DBC), Kadidal Manjappa, Dyavegoeda, Vijaya ajila. They have laid a great foundation for the politics in the region. The political parties like Congress ,BJP &JD(S) have a hold on this region. The present MLA from this constituency is D.N Jeevaraj (B.J.P Party). The organization like ABVP, RSS, Bajarangadal have a strong foothold in Koppa. The vote distribution depends on the community votes rather than the party.
