is a rapid transit
rail line under construction in Beijing
. It is planned to run parallel and to the south of Line 1
and Batong Line, from the Beijing West Railway Station
in Xuanwu District to Jiaohuachang (Coking Plant) in Tongzhou District. Construction began in January 2010 and may be completed by as early as 2013.

Planned Route
Line 7 will have 23 stations over 23.9 km. The stations will have longer platforms that accommodate 8-train cars than existing Beijing subway station platforms which can only accommodate 6-train cars. The line was originally slated to have 17 stations, from the Beijing West Station to Baiziwan. A revised plan approved by the Planning Committee of the Beijing Municipal government called for 22 stations over 23.9 km, ending in Jiaohuachang (Coking Plant) further east. A 23rd station was added at the eastern 4th Ring Road to accommodate nearby residents.List of stations from west to east.

History
- January 8, 2008: Plans for Line 7 reported in the media. Construction scheduled to begin by the end of the year.
- Oct. 30, 2008: Line 7 route plan with 23 stations receive regulatory approval. Construction still scheduled to begin by end of the year.
- July 19, 2009: Construction on Line 7 announced to begin in late August 2009.
- Nov. 6, 2009: Commencement of Line 7 construction deferred to 2010.
- Jan. 19, 2010: Construction reportedly begun along Guangqu Road near the eastern most section of the line.
