were drawn up when the two were combined as Hereford and Worcester
in 1974. This has left one constituency spanning what is now the county boundary. There are 2 Borough constituencies and 6 County constituencies.
The latest proposals by the Boundary Commission for England retained these 8 constituencies, with changes to realign constituency boundaries with the county boundary and the boundaries of current local government wards, and to reduce the electoral disparity between constituencies. These changes were implemented at the next general election, due by 2010. Hereford was renamed Hereford and South Herefordshire and Leominster as North Herefordshire. The part of Leominster CC
in Worcestershire was added to West Worcestershire CC.
