The Amvet Brigadiers were active from 1962 on, possibly even in 1961 They appeared at the New York Worlds Fair in 1963 they appeared in parades only for the first 2 years or so before competing in competition first in the "Mayflower" conference then later in Eastern Mass. conference. around 1966 a second jr. corps was added The Lancers, then a 3rd corps around 1969
