Los Angeles Art Show

The Los Angeles Art Show (LA Art Show) is an international encyclopedic art exhibition and sale under the umbrella of the Fine Art Dealers Association
(FADA). The show annually takes place in Los Angeles
at the end of January and is now a seminal part of Los Angeles Arts Month.
The Los Angeles Art Show began in 1995, at the Pasadena Convention Center, Pasadena, CA; then moved to the John Wooden Center on the campus of UCLA; then on to Santa Monica’s Barker Hanger before making its final home at the Los Angeles Convention Center
in 2009.
The Los Angeles Art Show is the Fine Art Dealers Association
’s primary show of the year and since its inception has been managed by KR Martindale Show Management.
, allowing it to expand both its exhibitor base and floor space --- now covering almost 150000 square feet (13,935.5 m²).
Proceeds from the Los Angeles Art Show Opening Night Gala benefited the Art Museum Council of LACMA, The Prints and Drawings Council of LACMA, Environmental Media Association
, and Inner-City Arts.
The show has a lecture schedule, and features an art documentary film series, curated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences

The Los Angeles Art Show is showcasing Supersonic 2009, a collection of art displays and installations. Organized by students, Supersonic 2009 features artwork by M.F.A. candidates from eight of Southern California’s graduate fine art programs. Art works of all media will be presented by students from the following institutions: Art Center College of Design
