Lukas Wooller

Lukas Wooller is the keyboard player and occasional backing vocalist of British indie rock
band, Maxïmo Park
, based in North-East England.

, Wakefield, he then attended Newcastle University to study music. As an undergraduate, Wooller was involved in the Newcastle music scene and performed in nearly all North East England
's smaller venues with bands such as Bozo, Neon, S22 and The Fallout Trust
(including living with them for a while). Lukas also worked with the electronic team RTL in Newcastle's Byker area with members of The Fallout Trust and House DJ's Triky Disko- they performed at Sunderlands bunker club for the Geordie Gabba Mafia with DJ UEP (Use Ear Protection).
He joined Maxïmo Park in 2000, after meeting Archis Tiku and Duncan Lloyd
in a pub. His involvement in other music projects remains, including a recent appearance playing keyboards with electronica

and co-writing a track for Modeselektor's 2nd LP.
Wooller was an advertising executive for The (now defunct) North Guide (a spin off from The Leeds Guide
in Yorkshire). Before Maxïmo Park's record deal, Wooller worked in the Bigg Market of Newcastle as a glass collector. In addition to his various TV appearances, Lukas also briefly featured in the Red Productions film "Vanity" as Governor of the Baker Institute - a film directed by Ben Heyworth of "This Morning Call" fame.
On 24 March 2007, Wooller stated that he was a Huddersfield Town fan live on the Saturday morning football programme Soccer AM.
