Luminous Orange is a Japanese guitar rock band often categorized as Alternative, Dreampop, and Shoegaze, and from the fact that they had released some of their materials from Cornelius' label "Trattoria", often considered as one of the Shibuya-kei artists.
Formed in Yokohama, Japan in 1992, originally as a 4- piece girl band. After going through member changes for several times, in 2002, Luminous Orange became a solo project of its composer, singer& guitarist Rie Takeuchi.

1st full album released from an indie label Cream Cone Records. Overseas fanzines such as Dewdrops, Le Tatou Colerique recommended Luminous Orange rather than domestic medias which were more focused on bubblegum guitar pops and punk rocks.
2nd full album released from an indie label based on indie musicians' mecca Shimokitazawa, K.O.G.A. Records. Again, they went against the domestic trend of the time by pursuing acoustic sound, using the bagpipe, violins, pianos, etc. besides electric guitars, bass and drums.
7 inch vinyl released from Friendly Science Enregisterments, organized by ex.Pale Saints

Even though this have been the most sold, well-listened album of Luminous Orange ever, there were lots of obstacles during the recording session.
