Marcel was one of the best defensive defenceman of his era. He was an important member of the 1950s Red Wings winning four Stanley Cup
s in 1950, 1952, 1954, 1955, as well as 5th cup 1967 Maple Leaf team. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame
in 1978. Later served as Scout with New Jersey. In 2003 he set a record for years between first Stanely Cup 1950 and last Stanley Cup 2003 of 53 years.
