Marcus Jansen is an American

in 1985.
His first book, "Modern Urban-Expressionism", was published in 2006 by his then French Gallery "American Art Gallery" in Paris. The foreword is written by former Museum director and Art Historian as well as Author of the American Vanguard Exhibitions in Europe 1961, Jerome A. Donson.
Jansen's work is represented by 101/exhibit in Miami's Design District.

Career
Marcus Jansen attended the Berufsfachschule für Gestaltung at the Gewerbliche Schulen der Stadt Mönchengladbach in 1985 and later apprenticed as a commercial painter at the Berufsschule für Malerei from 1986 until graduating in 1989. In 1990, Jansen joined the US army, being deployed in Iraq and Saudi Arabia with the 18th airborne division of Fort Bragg North Carolina. He started painting in the early 1980s during the ongoing graffiti art movement from New York.His first book, "Modern Urban-Expressionism", was published in 2006 by his then French Gallery "American Art Gallery" in Paris.
