. The Montana Democratic Party is also one of the two major political parties in the U.S. state of Montana. The party is led by Chairman Jim Elliot (Trout Creek) and Vice Chair Nancy Anderson (Great Falls). The National Committeeman is Ed Tinsley (Helena) and the National Committeewoman is Jean Lemire Dahlman (Forsyth).

2008 Elections

Controversy arose late in the 2008 elections as the Billings Gazette reported Montana Democrats as breaking campaign disclosure laws. A report came out identifying Democrats as calling voters anonymously to attack the republican candidate Jack Sands.
