Mpix consists of a total of three multiplex channels: two standard definition and one high definition channels. Mpix operates as a separate service with a separate licence then its sister network, The Movie Network

, although often Mpix is sold together in a package with The Movie Network. A video on demand

 service is also offered featuring programming from the two networks, Mpix OnDemand, which launched on December 19, 2006.

The 3 main channels of Mpix are:
  • Mpix, the flagship feed; offers classic thrillers, suspenseful and action-packed films. Formally known as MoviePix.
  • MorePix, classic quality drama and light-hearted entertainment. Formally known as Mescape until April 1, 2008. Then Mpix Too and MoviePix 2 before that.
  • MpixHD, a high-definition

    feed simulcasting Mpix. Up until september 2010, MpixHD was alternating between simulcasts of Mpix and MorePix. Formally known as MHD until April 1, 2008. It was launched in January 2006.

Content

The majority of the content offered by the Mpix channels are classic films, although Mpix does offer a limited amount of television series in the form of pop culture series on the topic of films and film-making including:
  • Moviehead - hosted by Matt Hawkins playing every Friday before the 9 p.m. Reel Premiere; The show takes a snapshot look at the movie and the time it was made.
  • Movie Style - hosted by Lisa Williams and Matt Hawkins; is a lifestyle show on MorePix that combines films with trends in fashion, design, beauty and entertaining.
